You know, even though we all believe our President when he says everything’s going great in Iraq, and it’s all just the media’s fault, reporting on the bad news, it’s sometimes hard to understand what he means (since we can’t all be as valiant as Laura Ingraham, and be escorted around camp Victory and all the other really swell places over there). So, here are some photos that show our glorious leader’s handiwork. Flash required. Hover your mouse over the the “index” in the lower left corner, and then click on the photgrapher’s name to enter their gallery. Hover over “caption” to get a description.

We’ve done so much for the Iraqi people in just three short years. I can’t wait to see what Iran’s extreme makeover will look like.

Friday Night Show

No early Clippers game tonight (or late one, either), so it’s your basic 2 hour Marc Maron show (or, for us non-vampires, an hour and fifteen minute or so podcast in the morning). It was great to hear Mr. FK on last night’s show (and we all join Marc in sending lots of love to Mrs. FK).

On tonight’s show Marc will have comedians Todd Barry and Al Madrigal, plus mad cow expert Dr. Michael Gregor (who has apparently escaped from the clutches of the USDA “truth” squad) will be in to talk about how cows that leave their cell phone chargers plugged in are at risk of developing Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy. And, as if that wasn’t enough fun, Heather Rogers will try and stay awake long enough to talk trash with Marc.

As usual, you can call into the show at 1 (877) 520-1150 (in KTLK’s regional calling area), or 1 (800) 783-7412 nationally.

Hey, show’s on!

Hey, where the hell did the week go? I have to get up and out of the house fairly early today for my CCNA study group (we have a lab today, which ought to be thrilling), so I guess you all will just have to blog amongst yourselves.

It’s another looong show tonight, so I hope you’re ready. With the Clippers playing early (I think they should play early every night, personally), the show should be starting any time now. More importantly, everybody’s favorite reporter (and blog sib-in-law) Mike Boettcher will be talking to Marc, live from Baghdad. Hopefully Marc will ask what Mike thinks about Laura Ingraham being the only “journalist” brave enough to do more than hang her head out of her cushy hotel room window, and do some “real” reporting about how wonderful our glorious leader’s war is going. If it’s so great, why the hell doesn’t she go back over (and take “Bay” Buchanan and that annoying little Republican troll from Florida that was on Bill Maher last week – Ileana Ros-Lehtinen – with her) and stay there?

Also tonight, Matt Taibi’s will be on to talk about his Rolling Stone piece on Jack Abramoff, John Amato of Crooks and Liars will visit, as will Heather Rogers, who will tell us all about garbage.

Don’t worry if the AAR website crashes, ‘cuz we’ll always be here to handle your blogging needs. If you’re out there in La-La Land, you can call the show at 1 (877) 520-1150, or, if you’re somewhere else in the world you can try 1 (800) 783-7412.

Thursdays are like my Saturdays, which is nice (except the dog will be climbing the walls, since I was too tired to take him anywhere yesterday). Don’t forget, Mr. Farmerkat will be on the Marc Maron Show tonight (and it’ll be an extra-long, gotta love those Clippers show, probably starting at around 8:30 PST). No doubt he’ll say that the only way he’s been able to get through the days over there is by reading the Morning Seditionists blog.

They certainly do keep us on our toes, trying to figure out when the hell the show’s gonna start, don’t they? Tonight should be a regular show, on from 10 – midnight PST (starting in about half an hour).

You can call into the show at 1 (877) 520-1150 (in KTLK’s regional calling area), or 1 (800) 783-7412 nationally. Tell ’em you’re name is Larry David, and you want to know why they’re screwing with your wife.

Back to the up and out of the house early on Wednesday routine for me. Even worse, I somehow managed to get myself into doing a presentation on WiFi Multimedia Power Save. Now there’s a topic guaranteed to keep the kids awake. Then I have to hustle back home to finish up a test that’s due by the end of the day today. Good thing I’m off tomorrow. Hey, if you didn’t hear it last night, Mr. Farmerkat will be reporting live from Baghdad on the Marc Maron show Thursday night – so don’t miss it!

First, we have a Morning Sedition Blogsclusive to announce: one of our extended family members, the intrepid Mr. Farmerkat (aka Mike Boettcher) will be reporting live from Baghdad on the Thursday night Marc Maron Show. So, if there was ever a show you should stay up late to listen to live, this’ll be the one.

We’re expecting the Marc show to start at around 8:30 PST tonight (which would be right about now), so hurry up and get your streams flowing. This will happen again on Thurday, so be ready. On tonight’s show, Mad Cow expert Dr. Michael Greger will be on to talk about Oprah Winfrey’s meat (trial), and Martin Smith from the LA Times will hawk his new book OOPS: 20 Life Lessons from the Fiascos that Shaped America. Then Mort Mortenson will give us the Weekly Remembrance.

As always, call MArc at 1 (877) 520-1150 if you’re in KTLK’s regional calling area, or run up Stephanie Miller’s phone bill at 1 (800) 783-7412.

After a tough Monday evening course, it sure is nice to finally have a day off. No Maron last night, but an extra-long show tonight ought to help make up for it. Too bad I can’t stay up to listen.

Monday Again

Back to the grindstone this week, up and out of the house by six o’clock – this evening. I have lots to catch up on that I blew off all week, though, so it isn’t like I don’t have stuff to do. It’s kind of nice around here during the week, though. Just me and the dog and the cats running around sounding like they’re killing each other most of the time.

It’ll be interesting to see what valiant photo-op our leaders cook up this week. I just wish these things didn’t have to make so many innocent Iraqi families homeless (not to mention dead).
