If anybody’s in the market for an mp3/video player, this 30-gig Zune looks like a pretty good deal at $99. Yeah, it’s not an iPod, and the brown ones are apparently not big sellers, but it’s going to be a free upgrade to the new Zune2 firmware (including WiFi syncing with your computer, which they for some reason left out of the first version).
So, I’ve been leaning towards an mp3 player. I wonder if I’d have problems loading itunes songs onto it. I’ve been wanting to download another player so I can burn compilations again :rant1: My room mate offered to let me download an old version of itunes that still does that but I think I’ll pass.
If you bought it from iTunes, then it probably aint gonna work on anything else, because they use their proprietary DRM. I think you can burn to a CD, no? Then rip the CD back to mp3. Then never, ever (ever) buy anything that isn’t DRM-free again.

Hi everybody. My computer and I are back together after it made 3 AppleCare extended warranty trips to AppleCare General Hospital in Memphis. It has worked longer than any time after the first 2 trips. Fingers crossed it is actually fixed this time.

Kristapea- If it’s not too late, DON’T download the new 7.4 update to iTunes. I’ve got two iTunes accounts on two different computers. The one I loaded it to doesn’t allow me to play old pre-DRM CD’s and burn them so I downloaded them on my preupdate 7.4, burned them and then loaded them to the updated one.
