The interesting thing about our media is that they have no clue whatsoever just how godawful they are. It’s really quite astounding. If you got the sense they at least understood what they were and were ashamed of themselves, it wouldn’t be quite so maddening. But, instead, the Sunday whore shows just keep on going.

On Press the Meat, Timmy Potatohead will ask inane ‘gotcha’ questions of Obama’s Chief Strategist David Axelrod and Hillary Clinton’s new chief strategist Geoff Garin. Then, it’s a roundtable with NY Times whore David Brooks (who thought ABC did a great fucking job on Wednesday) E.J. “Poupon” Dionne of the WaPost, and NPR’s Michele Norris.

The battle of the surrogates continues on CBS (god forbid these people ever get a unique idea) with Bob Casey (Obama) and Ed Rendell (Clinton) getting together with Bush Buddy Bobby Schieffer on Faze the Nation. Then it’s media whore Roger Simon of the ever-wrong Politico, and Joe “hippy dippy” Trippi.

Far be it for Fux News Sunday to be original, as they have Dick Durbin (Obama) and Chuck Schumer (Clinton), along with the Pillsbury Dough Nazi, Karl Rove. Speaking of Nazis, the Fuxheads will also be on hand to talk about the Pope’s visit to NYC (I think they ought to get him tickets to see “The Producers”).

Over at that bastion of integrity known as ABC (but to us, it’ll always be the Goebbels Network), George Snufalufagus will suck off St. McCain (interview posted below), before This Weak reunites the Axis of Drivel, Cokie “the hag” Roberts, Sam :omg: Donaldson, and George :jerk: Will. And don’t forget, for those of you lucky enough to get your locals in HD, you get to see Cokie in Hi-Def this week!

On CNNs Late Emission, Wolfie is live in NYC to give us “the latest” on the Pope, plus there’s Clinton surrogates Jon Corzine and Mike “fluffer” Nutter along with Obama surrogates Bill Bradley and Chaka Fattah (seriously). The there’s the woman HP gave the boot to (poor baby only got $21 million in severance), Carly Fiorina,(now McCain’s Economic Adviser), and trying to see how many popes they can find in the pizza (you would think that would be on YouTube, but I can’t find it), Catholic University President David O’Connell, and “Vatican Journalist” Delia Gallagher.

Later, on 60 Minutes, it’s three stories I don’t really give a shit about, but after that, there’s the seventh and final episode of John Adams, the Tudors, and another episode of Tracy Ullman’s State of the Union.

Have a good Sunday, y’all.

In another 10 and a half hours, the weekend will be upon us. Or, upon me, anyway. It’s not like I have anything big planned. I just want to get this week over with, and maybe sleep ’til 6 or 7 o’clock. I could use the rest. See ya.

This afternoon, the five FCC commissioners will be at a hearing at Stanford on tnet neutrality and the future of the Internet. So, if you live in the area and have some free time, head over there. If not, the Free Press Action Network will be live blogging during the hearing, talking about the hearing itself, as well as current Internet policies, and how we can protect the Internet from the corporations and their minions in the government.

If you’re interested, head over to www.freepress.net/action today from 3- 10 p.m. ET / 12-7 p.m. PT

Comcast, AT&T and Verizon have all been caught blocking, filtering and spying on our Internet activities. It’s only gonna get worse from here on out, and the three remaining candidates for preznit are all pretty cozy with corporate interests, so it’s important that we don’t let them take our last real means of communication away from us, and hand it to the highest bidder.

If you want audio of the hearing, you can get it at FCC Web site at: www.fcc.gov/realaudio/#apr17.

Have a good one.

I managed to do something to my shoulder. What, I don’t know. I think it’s tendinitis and bursitis. Either that, or somebody snuck in and chiseled off the head of my humerus (which is most definitely not funny). Either way, it hurts like hell, and it’s all I can do to hold my arm up, let alone type (hell, it takes 20 minutes just to get a shirt on). This gettin’ old shit is great, aint it?

Not much to say today. I’m still worn out from the weekend. If only two weekend days could last half as long as one week day…. Oh well. Don’t forget to do your taxes.

Crap, it’s Monday again, and that just pisses me off. I think I’ll head down to the diner and get me a big glass of OJ. You know, I finally figured out Chris Matthews’ problem with orange juice. The Florida Sunshine spokestwit used to be Anita Bryant. And we all know what sorts of folks Anita Bryant had a problem with. We’re also all pretty familiar with the man crushes Tweety gets on people like John McCain, and how Tweety seems to have quite a problem with the female types. He’s either hostile to them, or he fakes sexual attraction and goofily fawns all over them in a rather stupid and embarrassing way (a little overcompensation there, Chris?).

So, I think Matthews is hostile toward orange juice because he subconsciously fears having his oranges squeezed by Anita Bryant. Hey, do yourself a favor Chris. Get outta that closet before you find yourself trading swapping press passes (and precious bodily fluids) with Jeff Guckert.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Sunday already? Seems like it was just Saturday.

And its an “Ugly Sunday” on Press the Meat, as Timmy Potatohead hosts an hour worthy of a carnival freak show, with James “cupie doll” Carville and dickfor Bob Shrum for the Democrats, and Mrs. Cupie Dolln Mary Matalin with Mike “the schmuck” Murphy for the Republicans. Oh joy. Carville is at least fun to look at (in a can’t-take-your-eyes-off-the-car-wreck kinda way), but I really can’t stand his sneering, sighing, fucking whore of a wife (ha, go ahead and suspend me for that, AAR). Actually, they’re all a bunch of fucking whores in my opinion. But then, whores are what Sunday mornings on the teevee are all about, aren’t they (as Mike Malloy would say, no offense to sex workers).

Over on Faze the Nation, Bush buddy Bobby Schieffer has Sec Def Bob Gates (to tell us how well things continue to go in Iraq, I guess), and the Queen of Botox, Nancy Pelosi.

At Fux News Sunday, Weaselface Wallace hosts Obamite Tom Daschle, plus Andy’s pal and Clintonista, Mike “fluffer” Nutter. Then its National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley and Olympic gold medalist Joey Cheek, on to talk about boycotting the Olympics, and the Fux Power Player of the week (oddly enough, somebody who’s actually been in on a power play – and has something like 22 power play goals so far this season), Washington Capitals left wing, Alex Ovechkin. Plus the usual Fux News whores, of course (you know, they probably make even more an hour than the Emperor’s Club VIP gals, and, as far as I can tell, they really don’t do anything to earn it).

On the Goebbels network, George Snufalufagus hosts Jimmy Carter, who’s over in Nepal, observing elections. Then Stephen Hadley gets trotted out again before a roundtable of Time Mag whore Mark Halperin, political genius Donna Brazile, former pentagon spokesbitch (and whore), Torie Clarke, and ABC’s resident Sunday whore, George :jerk: Will. For those of you with HD, here’s some big news: next week, This Weak goes Hi-Def. Won’t that be a thrill? Gee, I hope they have Cokie Roberts on (and Katrina vanden Heuvel, for Kevin).

Over on CNN’s Late Emission, Wolfie has Joe Biden and Dick Luger (I’m not sure if that sounds like a very scary weapon, or something I really don’t wanna see hawked up in the drinking fountain), plus the battle of the surrogates, Obama’s Bob Casey and Clinton’s Evan Bayh. Then, it’s the biggest fucking whore of the day, Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman. Rounding out the show will be Iraqi Foreign Minster, Hoshar Zebari.

Later, on 60 Minutes, Steve Kroft reports that corruption in Iraq is so entrenched that militia groups known to target U.S. troops control some of Iraq’s ministries and have used those government funds and resources to kill Americans (hey, nothing’s perfect). Lesley Stahl tells us about leukemia patient John Kanzius, who invented a machine that kills cancer cells (I’m sure the drug companies will kill that faster than the auto companies killed the engine that runs on tap water). And Bob Simon tell us about Venezuela’s world famous (in other words, everywhere but the US) orchestra.

Even later, there’s episode 6 of John Adams on HBO (“Unnecessary War.” Some things never change, I guess), and a new episode of the Tudors on Showtime, followed by a new episode of Tracy Ullman’s State of the Union. So, you can put off thinking about going to work tomorrow until at least 10:30 (later if you record them and watch them one after the other, since Adams and Tudors are on at the same time). After that, though, reality sets in.

As for me, I really need to start thinking about doing my taxes.

Have a good one.

I watched Manhattan last night for the first time in a while (in HD, even). It’s perhaps my favorite Woody Allen movie (if you don’t like Woody Allen, don’t bother telling me about it). The only problem was constantly going, “gee, look how young she looks,” or “wow, look how young he was,” seeing as it was released in 1979. Even worse, it dawned on me that 1979 was 30 freakin’ years ago. :sigh:

Oh well, at least it aint Monday.

A little late with this today, after staying up way past my bedtime last night. And too damn tired to come up with much to say, except I’m sure glad it’s Friday. Have a good one.
