My wife is leaving me.  Fortunately, it&#8217;s only for two weeks, as she heads out to visit her three daughters, and her new granddaughter.  Still, it means I&#8217;ll have to clean the litter boxes &#8211; a chore for which I have not been inserviced (and which I really have no desire to learn).<\/p>\n<p>But there&#8217;s even worse news to report, I&#8217;m afraid.  My all-too-brief summer vacation is near an end, as I will be rejoining the working world next Monday.  It&#8217;s not so much for me that I feel bad, as it is for the poor dog, who has gotten very, very used to having me around all the time.
