Last day of Maron on AAR. For now, anyway. How can they possibly not give him the regular gig. Whether he’d want it or not, is another question. But he seems to be very happy to be back in NYC, and I think the change would do him good, with all that he’s gone through. The fact that I don’t actually know him in no way precludes me from pontificating on what would be best for him, of course. <\/p>\n
Anyhow, if he can get an ironclad (in writing with money up front) agreement that they’ll give him the resources to do the kind of show he’s capable of doing and the time and promotion to build an audience that’s required, I say he should go for it.<\/p>\n
Sam Seder should get the same kind of deal, and there’s plenty of room in AAR’s godawful lineup of shows for both of them.<\/p>\n
