Let’s see, thirty days hath September, yada, yada, and Novermber, all the rest have…. OK, I guess it’s still March. Anyhow, much like Atrios, I know I’m supposed to have something to say, but I got nothin’. Except to say that this whole deal with Seder really sucks, and apparently AAR isn’t even big enough (or honest enough) to come out and tell their loyal listeners (and soon to be former loyal listeners) what’s going on. All that promise, and just one disappointment after another.

All signs appear to be pointing towards us losing another show today. I used to listen to the Majority Report (it was the main reason I switched from XM – which pulled the last hour in order to put on Alan Colmes, fer chrissakes – over to Sirius, back in the day), but have really come to like Sam’s show much more. Maybe it’s just because my situation these days puts me near a computer while he’s on most of the time.

So, assuming this goes down today, I don’t know what I’ll listen to now. If AAR puts on a show that sounds worth listening to, I suppose I’ll give it a try. What that would be, I couldn’t guess. Maybe they’ll put Greeny and Army on from WWRL, and move the Turds into Sam’s slot. Maybe the Greens are Lynn Samuels fans (or Alex Bennett, who’s already on Sirius in the 9-noon slot). Beats me. Odds are, I’ll just go back to music again (again).

Of course, then there’s the mysterious “you AAR people are gonna be very, very happy” comment from Malloy a couple weeks back. Does this mean that NovaM had an “option” to pick up Sam in the even that AAR dumped him? If that’s the case, then I’ll definitely follow him to his new time. It’s not like I get AAR on my regular radio. And I’ve still got my Sirius equipment, so maybe I’ll start up with them again. Now, when’s Maron coming back on?

I wonder if John McCain and Joe Lieberman would still like to volunteer to lock arms and saunter around Baghdad?

Yesterday was a really bad day, for reasons I won’t bore you with. I hope today is better, but I have my doubts.

Had a series of thunderstorms roll through last night. I used to enjoy watching them, but, unfortunately, they scare the poor dog. Every time I’d get him settled down, another storm would come through. Having 80 pounds of dog curled up on top of you kind of limits your ability to move around. Makes me wish winter would come back.

It’s Monday, and for a plethora of reasons, that really sucks. I sure hope another Bush Administration scandal breaks soon to cheer me up.

Here we go again.

Press the Meat might actually be interesting, as the potato-headed one hosts dismissed U.S. Attorneys David Iglesias and John McKay, plus Senate Judiciary Committee members, Dick Durbin & Arlen “why don’t you just shut the fuck up already” Specter. And then Bill Bradley is on to hawk his book.

Over on CBS, it’s pretty much the same theme, as bush buddy Bobby Schieffer hosts Pat “why doesn’t Arlen Specter just shut the fuck up already” Leahy, Lindsey “Huckleberry” Graham (both of the Senate Judiciary Committee), shitcanned US Attorney Bud Cummins, and the man who puts the “premium” in the NY Times Select, the ever craptacular David Brooks.

On Fux News Sunday, Weaselface Wallace hosts a show about – you guessed it – the fired US Attorneys, and how our brave president is standing up for truth, justice, and the American way by refusing to allow his minions to testify publicly under oath. Most people think it’s because he knows they’re going to lie, but it’s actually because he’s terrified that they’ll tell the truth. Anyhow Fuxface Wallace only rates one Senate Judiciary member, the accidental Democrat, Dianne Feinstein, but he does score an audience with Senator Brylcreem® himself, Trent Lott. Also on, former DOJ Prosecutor Sharon “Weeb” Eubanks, who was forced to throw the tobacco lawsuit because of Bush political appointee pressure.

On Goebbels, in his first interview since making the announcement that he had no announcement to make (and one of only two senators to vote against revoking the Attorney General’s authority to appoint US Attorneys without Senate approval, it’s crazy wingnut (supposed Iraq War stance or not) Chuck Hagel. And George Snufalufagus reunites the Axis of Drivel at the Roundtable, as Sam :omg: Donaldson, Cokie “the Hag” Roberts, and George :jerk: Will get together to pass the gas that passes for political commentary. Then, Lisa Ling (who, it turns out, is not a Panda bear) is on because Asian chicks are hot.

Over at Crappy News Network, Wolf Blitzer’s Late Emission includes Samir “Some Sunny Day” Sumaidaie (Iraqi Ambassador to the U.S.), Judiciary Committee member Orrin “down the” Hatch, Bill Nelson of Florida, John “coo-coo cah choo” Bolton, scumbag Lanny Davis, Mr Victoria Toestink, Joey “big pussy” DiGenova, the woman who helped to engineer a razor-thin popular vote victory of one of the smartest people in politics over one of the dumbest, Donna Brazile, former RNC Chairman, Ed “Justin, please shut that closet door” Gillespie, and CNN bottle-blonde hack, Dana Bash.

Later, on 60 Minutes, if you want to see John and Elizabeth Edwards, you’ll have to suffer through CBS Anchortwit Katie Couric doing the interview. Also, Morley Safer chats with former Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski (he may be in prison, but he’ll always have those memories of his wife’s birthday party in Sardinia), and Bob Simon “goes one-on-one” with “reformed” Jihadist, Hassan Butt (hey, with a name like that, who can blame him).

Of course, all this is just to kill time until the season finale of Battlestar Galactica. Two weeks to the return of the Sopranos.

Enjoy your Sunday.

Another week winds to an end. Will the Torturer General go down at the end of today’s news cycle, or will he hang on? My bet, he hangs on. They need to have him around to throw under the bus, in case it starts to look like Rove will have to get his pig face over to Congress and testify under oath. Could be an interesting visit from Maron on Sam’s show today, what with him spilling the beans a bit about a possible change in the nine to noon AAR lineup. I wonder if we’ll hear anything more about that today.

Interesting how the Politico (oh-for-two this week – so far – on “scoops”) is able to get a story totally wrong (yesterday being the “John Edwards is ‘suspending’ his campaign” story) and then spread throughout the traditional media. The folks over there were crappy journalists before the got together on this little venture, so there’s no surprise there, but didn’t there used to be a time when the “media” actually did their own investigating, and didn’t report a story until they actually had a story to report? I blame it all on Watergate. Up ’til then, newspapers and teevee news organizations did their own reporting. But after the WaPost had their “Deep Throat” exclusive source, everybody just started reporting that the “Washington Post is reporting….” Now, every time Drudge pulls something out of his ass, it winds up on AP, in every paper, and on every “news” show in about two hours.

Anyhow, happy Friday.

Supposed to be nice and warm today. Too bad I have so damn much work to do, I’ll probably be spending the whole day in front of the computer. Oh well, at least I’ll be able to stay on top of all the disgraceful Bush administration scandals.
