Bachelor days are over today, as Granny is scheduled to arrive at some point, fresh from her trip to the fascist state known as Minneapolis. Oh, the boys and I have had a good run here for the past 10 days or so, watching football and action movies (where shit gets blowed up and whatnot) ’til all hours, with nary a dissenting word. But all that changes today.
It’s rather convenient, really, since it’ll (hopefully) give me somebody to attend my uncle Bill’s wake and funeral with. I’m not real good with that kinda stuff, so it’s a big help to have somebody to go with. Uncle Bill is the last member of that particular generation on my side of the family. I guess that means it’s my generation’s turn to start dying off next.
Not today though. Today I gotta go to work.
French to retain oversight of Palin probe
The blog better get its :joe: together.
What’s up with the threat?
For those who do not swim back stream…
Two new Maron v. Seder VODs are on the VOD pages at SamSederShow.com. This is the usual repository at the top of the page for these for now if they exist.
Yesterday’s audio mp3 download is here. These usually show up on a show by show basis from different sources and are usually found on the right hand side of the page in ‘Recent Open Mics’ for a day or two after a show.
Shows run this week through Thursday at 3 PM Eastern and then maybe next week move to their AAR incarnation.
I have not seen Maddow MSNBC show debut yet but saw the end of the show where Kent Jones apparently has gotten his old slot back. I was hoping he might land some work with M v. S but my questions about that were unanswered.
I also missed Malloy doing a guest spot this week on CNN on a show that runs at the same time as M v. S.
I’m just getting to my second :joe:
I’m slowly getting back to work. I don’t hate the job but I really don’t want to work. Maybe that will dissipate over time. This stupid cold I have ain’t helping.
I saw Rachel’s new show. I like her more on TV than I do on the radio. I have not been able to watch any of the shows that have followed Olbermann in the past. They have either been too shrill or too ridiculous to put up with.
Sliming Palin
September 8, 2008
False Internet claims and rumors fly about McCain’s running mate.
Looks like I need to check this site more often.
Gosh, I guess you all owe poor Sarah an apology.
From the Washington Post:
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has billed taxpayers for 312 nights spent in her own home during her first 19 months in office, charging a “per diem” allowance intended to cover meals and incidental expenses while traveling on state business.

Oh crap! It’s Frangela in all week for Steph. :smack:
Thank goodness for Sedition Radio.
Poor Sarah Palin, now on the receiving end.
Yep, I’ve already tuned back to NPR and will use the opportunity to watch Rachel and Keith on line.
I am wondering about that Kilkenny thing now. Could it have been planted to discredit the blogosphere, debunk a lot of questions about Palin by attacking one poorly sourced element of issues, and ultimately inoculate her from any criticism at all as ‘groundless smear’?
It has the smell of the Rather thing in ’04. The facts were probably there but the whole question was taken off the table and the table was turned when one piece of the case was discredited.
You know they must be itching for Rachel or Keith to report something that they can throw back in their face.

Bobcat’s dad passed away.
Sam and Marc are tardy
Factcheck fact check:
Honest, when we do the real show, it’ll be GREAT!
Kilkenny was on GritTV this morning by phone but I have not checked it out yet. She sounded very soft spoken.
Her e-mail seems pretty genuine, and pretty non-partisan, really.
Three hundred thirty-five dollars for my calculus books. That’s almost as much for the class. :omg:
Oh, man, Travis, have you tried AbeBooks?
No, but I’ll look into it. These books that I got are for a two class sequence. So hopefully I can keep my head above water and survive the first part of the sequence with one variable cal..
I just posted that inflatable kayak on craigslist. Not sure if it’ll sell.

Greed and Spite and Stupidity. Now that’s the American way.
Alaska Progressive Radio
I’ve posted on KUDO. There’s new ownership so I don’t know what happened to the old site.
