Not only do I not have to go to work, but it’s supposed to be yet another beautiful day, weather-wise. Hey, if they want to give me a day off for some sociopath who thought he was gonna find a shortcut to India, who am I to argue? You’d think national holidays should be limited to actual Americans (except for Jesus’ birthday, of course – but then when President Romney is inaugurated, I reckon he’ll grant Jesus retroactive citizenship), but, hey, who am I to argue with the powerful Italian-American community? I’m pretty sure Columbus was in “Waste Management” anyway.
Normally, I wouldn’t rejoice in a victory by the Buffalo Bills. But when they beat Philadelphia – and intercept Michael Vick 4 times – I’ll make an exception. I think it’s time Philly realizes Vick just isn’t performing and needs to be put down. Nothing personal, Mike. You’re just not earning your kibble.
Well, I guess I’d better figure out what I can around here today – without spending any money.
An assistant editor for the conservative magazine The American Spectator admitted in print Saturday to infiltrating an antiwar protest in Washington, D.C. in hopes of undermining the “Occupy†movement.
Patrick Howley — “for journalistic purposes†— was one of the antiwar protesters who clashed with security staff at The Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum on Saturday, leading to one arrest and numerous people being pepper-sprayed.
The progressive blog Firedoglake has condemned the editor as an agent provocateur, but it is unclear if Howley actually incited the clash with security guards.
According to the conservative writer, he rushed into the museum entrance with only a handful of other protesters.

Rep. Peter King (R-NY) is upset at the growing movement and the media’s coverage of it, hoping that a modern day version of protests from five decades ago isn’t being recaptured now.
“It’s really important for us not to give any legitimacy to these people in the streets,†said King on Laura Ingraham’s radio show Friday evening. “I remember what happened in the 1960s when the left-wing took to the streets and somehow the media glorified them and it ended up shaping policy. We can’t allow that to happen.â€
